QJMC Gasoline Water Pump Maintenance Tips | Oil, Spark Plug & Air Filter Care

Introduction

1. Engine Lubricating Oil Maintenance (Spec: SAE 10W-30)

Engine oil protects internal moving parts; oil shortage will burn the engine permanently:

1).Daily inspection: Check the oil level every morning before starting the pump, ensure oil stays within standard scale;

2).First oil replacement: For brand-new pumps, replace oil after 1 month or 20 running hours (whichever arrives first);

3).Regular oil replacement: After the first change, replace SAE 10W-30 oil every 6 months or 100 cumulative working hours;

4).Refill volume: 0.6 Liter after draining old oil completely.

2. Spark Plug Inspection & Maintenance

1).Remove the spark plug regularly for visual inspection;

2).If thick carbon accumulates on electrodes, clean carbon dirt thoroughly;

3).Adjust the electrode gap to standard 0.7mm ~ 0.8mm;

4).Directly replace the spark plug if damaged, cracked or with abnormal ignition.

3. Air Filter Element Care

Blocked air filter leads to insufficient combustion, increased fuel consumption and engine power drop:

1).Dismantle the air filter element from the engine housing;

2).Wash the filter with kerosene and air-dry it completely (no residual kerosene);

3).Soak the filter with a small amount of engine oil, then squeeze out redundant oil;

4).Reinstall the filter element; replace broken filters immediately to avoid dust entering the cylinder.

4. Pump Body & Pipeline Daily Inspection

1).Check all hose clamps, connectors, sealing washers and gaskets for looseness, aging or cracking before each use;

2).Clean the strainer foot valve after every workday to remove silt, weeds and debris blocking water intake;

3).Inspect mechanical seal, impeller and internal gaskets periodically for water leakage or wear; replace worn spare parts timely.

5. Long-Term Storage Maintenance (Over 30 Days Idle)

1).Drain all residual water inside the pump cavity to prevent rust and frost crack in cold weather;

2).Run the engine until the fuel tank is empty to avoid stale gasoline clogging the carburetor;

3).Replace engine oil before storage to prevent acid corrosion from old oil;

4).Store the pump in a dry, ventilated room away from rain, dust and direct sunlight;

5).Cover inlet & outlet ports to stop dust and insects entering the pump body.
